SPECIAL OPENINGS

The museum will gladly open its doors outside normal hours and arrange a guided tour, a glass of wine, a reading or even a banquet in the restaurant.

The museum offers modern conference facilities, as well as a calm and inspiring setting for smaller meetings.

Adults: DKK 60.
Children and young people under 14: free of charge
Groups of 10 or more: DKK 50 per person.

LOCATION AND PARKING

Rungstedlund is situated on Strandvejen (The coastal road, 152N), 25 km north of Copenhagen, 10 km south of Elsinore, making access by car easy and convenient. There is limited parking space at the Museum and a coach park 300 metres away.

The best way to get to Rungstedlund by way of public transport is to take the train to Rungsted Kyst st. From the station there is a 15-20 minute walk (signposted) to the museum, or you could take bus no. 388. Bus 388 also drives by both Klampenborg and Lyngby stations.

VISITORS WITH DISABILITIES

The museum ground floor, with Karen Blixen´s private home, cafe and shop is accessible for wheelchair through back entrances. Please ask staff at the counter for guidance. The documentary exhibition on Blixen’s life and the Boganis-hall where exhibitions take place, is situated at first floor, which has no lift. In an annexe 50 meters from the museum is a toilet for the disabled.
