HOLIDAYS AND NATIONAL HOLIDAYS
The Museum is closed on Easter Monday, the Monday following Pentecost, 24, 25 & 26 December, 31 December and 1 January.
The Museum is also closed 26 & 27 October 2019.
We can arrange late-night openings for groups, meetings, konferences, events etc. It is possible to reserve the Boganis Hall. Please make reservations by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Groups: A discount is offered for groups of 10 people or more. The price is DKK 75 per person.
Included in the price of admission is access to the private home of Karen Blixen and exhibitions as well as an introduction by one of our knowledgeable staff (10 minutes) to the Museum and the life of Karen Blixen.
The entrance to the private home and exhibitions opens every half hour.
The Garden, Park, Grave of Karen Blixen and Bird Sanctuary is open every day all day all year around and admission is free.

Nearest train station is Rungsted Kyst Station. The regional train (Kystbanen) runs every 20 minutes from Copenhagen or Helsingore.
Bus 388 runs between Rungsted Kyst Station and the Museum every hour.
Walking distance from the train station to the Museum is 20 minutes. Direction signs help you find the way through the Karen Blixen Bird Sanctuary and Park or along the road.

There is little parking available beside the Museum. A large parking lot is located 300 metres from the Museum on the corner of Rungstedvej and Rungsted Strandvej.
The ground floor is accessible by wheelchair. Karen Blixen’s private home, The Letter Exhibition and Film Room, Café and shop is located here. Entrance from the terrasse, please ask the staff in the shop for directions.
The first and second floor are accessible by stairs only. The Documentary Exhibition on Blixen’s life and the Boganis Hall are located on the first floor. An accessible bathroom is located in the annex 50 meters from the Museum.
CAFÉ KAREN BLIXEN
The coffee shop Café Karen Blixen has the same opening hours as the Museum and offers lunch, tea, coffee, cakes and cold drinks.
The Museum Shop has the same opening hours as the Museum. You can buy books, posters, postcards and special designed tablecloths.
